They work similar to a panel of advisors and are objective and balanced when making decisions based on other people’s comments. It is necessary to have moderators so as to keep spammers and unnecessary posts out of the community.

Moderators do not control the content of the site and can only be invited to become a moderator by the administrators and are closely monitored themselves.
